The Welsh Government has announced it is extending the measures to protect businesses affected by Covid-19 from eviction, until Wednesday 30th September.
The extension to the moratorium on commercial lease forfeitures comes as non-essential retail businesses begin to reopen in Wales. Although rent due should be paid whenever possible, this measure will ensure no business is forced out of its commercial premises if it misses a payment in the next three months.
The UK Government has published a Code of Practice to encourage commercial tenants and landlords to work together to protect viable businesses.
