Welsh Government announces Sport and Leisure Recovery Fund

A £14 million funding package is to be made available for Wales’ sports and leisure sector.
Welsh Government has announced that the ‘Sport and Leisure Recovery Fund’ will support the industry with the ongoing challenges caused by the pandemic as well as providing longer-term sustainability.
The fund is intended to provide essential support to sports clubs and organisations, independent providers and sporting events who have all faced significant challenges during the pandemic and continue to be severely impacted.
The ‘Sport and Leisure Recovery Fund’ will be allocated to Sport Wales and managed by them on the Welsh Government’s behalf.
