Commercial Lawyer (3 years+ PQE – guide only). Exciting opportunity for a commercial lawyer to join our Corporate/Commercial team. Based in our Cardiff head office and reporting directly to our head of department. You will be qualified to practice in England and Wales. You should be able to demonstrate strong experience as a fee-earning commercial lawyer, with a particular emphasis on IT and IP contracts. You should be able to show key relevant skills and interest in, for example, drafting, negotiating, developing client relationships, and managing multiple projects. There is the opportunity to become our cross-departmental team leader for the Technology sector, either straight away or in the future. This could be a full-time role or flexible/reduced working hours may be possible. For an ambitious candidate, there is also scope for future promotion within the firm.
PA/Legal Secretary. Excellent opportunity to join our Corporate/Commercial department as a PA/legal secretary. Based in our Cardiff head office, you will be primarily supporting our busy corporate transactions team. You should be able to demonstrate prior experience in a similar administrative support role. You should be able to show key relevant skills and interest in, for example, using Microsoft Office products, using a case management system, communicating verbally and in writing, being organised, and using your initiative, all to a high level. This role might suit a graduate looking to develop their career in a law firm environment, but a degree is not an essential requirement. This is a full-time role.
Sport, Media & Entertainment, Charities and Technology Lawyers. If you can demonstrate expertise and experience in one of our four specialist sectors (or a particular niche within any of them), we are interested in hearing from you.
Trainee Solicitors. Applications for a trainee solicitor contract to start in late 2021 or early 2022 are now open. The applications window will close on 30 September 2021. If you have completed the LPC, please apply. In addition, we will also consider applications for a legal assistant role from candidates who have not yet completed the LPC but who want to qualify as a solicitor.
Work Placements. If you have completed a law degree or the GDL, and possibly also completed the LPC, we might be able to offer you a short-term paid placement to gain practical legal experience.
