The latest figures from March’s Free Wills Month have been released. So far 508 Wills have been written and 288 gifts have been donated to Tenovus Cancer Care. These gifts are worth at least £648,250 in future income for the charity.
We are proud of our Probate, Wills and Trusts team who participated in this great campaign, helping to raise a significant amount for Tenovus Cancer Care.
Free Wills Month brings together a group of well-respected charities to offer members of the public aged 50 and over the opportunity to have their simple Wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in selected locations across the UK.
Tenovus Cancer Care is the leading cancer charity in Wales. They bring treatment, emotional support and practical advice to local communities in Wales.
Maria Cosslett, Partner and Head of Probate, Wills and Trusts at Loosemores commented:
“March was a busy time for us so it is great to see that this campaign has been a success, £648,250 is a huge amount and exceeded my expectations. Tenovus Cancer Care is a fantastic charity who do so much for people in Wales who are affected by Cancer. I would like to thank those who donated gifts in their Will.”
It is easy to postpone making a Will. However, it would be a mistake to assume that, without having a valid Will, your estate will benefit those you care about. By making a Will, you can ensure that your wishes are carried out and that you have made adequate provisions for your loved ones.
