Our approach to environmental, social & corporate governance is built upon the firm’s long established strategic principles that shape and guide the firm’s development. These are not the normal types of goals and objectives set by many law firms. We are committed to managing our environmental responsibilities and using our position of influence to benefit the communities we serve.
Our Environmental Group is made up of team members across the firm. Initiatives led by the committee have led to firm wide engagement and policy changes, ensuring sustainability considerations are at the forefront of the decisions we make.
Legal Sustainability Alliance
We are a member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance, which support the Legal Sector in establishing how it can tackle climate change. Since 2007, the LSA has been providing support and advice to law firms across the UK helping them to manage and reduce their carbon emissions to become more sustainable.
Legal Renewables Initiative
We are supporters of the Legal Renewables Initiative, which commits us to use 100% renewable energy from certifiable sources, across all our UK premises by 2025.
Official Supporters of GlobalWelsh
GlobalWelsh’s initiative is to “bring Welsh people from all over the world together as one global community, sharing knowledge, facilitating business opportunities, and introducing like-minded people in a way that’s never been done before.” Senior Partner, Mark Loosemore is a GlobalWelsh Pioneer member.
Sponsors of the South Wales FA Senior Cup.
The competition is open to Senior clubs who play in the South Wales Alliance Football League or the top divisions of local leagues within the SWFA area and do not enter the Welsh Cup or FAW Trophy.
Welsh Sports Association
Our strategic partnership with the Welsh Sports Association allows us to support its members (which comprise mostly not-for-profit sporting organisations) with a range of legal support services, including a telephone helpline to provide initial free legal advice.
Women in Film & Television (WFTV)
We are supporters of WFTV and have provided advice on a pro bono basis to numerous WFTV members who are in need of early-stage support.
Educational Book Scheme
We are always seeking new ways to foster a better working environment and regularly provide educational and training opportunities. For example, through a staff-led initiative, we implemented an educational book scheme with a focus on addressing the issue of systematic racism within our society.
