Making or Updating your Will
Seven out of ten people never make a will. Why be one of them? Do not assume that your estate will benefit those you care about should you die without making a Will.
Making a will ensures that you
- leave instructions about your funeral
- specify who will look after your children
- control where your estate goes
- make proper provision for your family and leave specific items to individuals
- create trusts to benefit individuals
You can also write your will in a way that will minimise Inheritance Tax liabilities for those you leave behind. The Inheritance Tax rates are high but there are cheaper options!
