The Season of Giving
It’s that time of giving…….no not Christmas, it’s the charitable event season!!
The staff of Loosemores have been out and about supporting local charities again this year.
Paul Jones recently joined a number of local business men in a bike ride from Holyhead in North Wales to Cardiff Bay. A few adventures were had on the way, closed roads, landslides and gale force storms, but they managed to complete the 265 mile trip in four days rising over £17,000 for the St Davids Foundation.
Simon Fox recently completed the London Marathon in a very respectable time of just over 4 hours. It’s his second year in a row and the glutton for punishment says he’s taking a rest next year……..we’ll see! Simon was running in aid of Arthritis Research UK.
Finally, we have 9 members of staff in serious training to take on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Ty Hafan. Loosemores have managed to get two eager teams together to scale Snowden, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan in 24 hours. A special consideration should be made for Peter Brindley, who is in serious training……as the designated driver, he’s been practising sitting in the van, having a sleep and waiting for the 8 runners to descend the mountains!
